In a bit of related news (Baseball, Dominicans, Good Pitchers), the Royals have picked up Johnny Cueto.

As a Yankee fan, I'm glad we didn't give up three young lefties for him, but Jeez-Louise I don't want to see that guy in the first round of the playoffs....

Good for John "Flash" Flaherty if he was true to his word that he refused to speak to Pedro at a golf tournament. Just because a guy is talented doesn't mean he is a "great", in the Lou Gehrig sense of the term. Don Drysdale had talent, and so did Ty Cobb. But they were mean-spirited mothers, unworthy to share the HoF with the likes of Gehrig (or Jeter). You're still a punk, Pedro. Exercise that aggression by mud-wrestling with Colin Cowturd.
