Zero is correct. Only slobs ( Irabu comes to mind) come to NYC from Japan. everyone good goes to California or Seattle. Yankees have to get better in attracting talent from the DR.
According to this, Yankees are serious about signing Tatsuya Imai, a Japanese pitcher who will be posted soon. https://heavy.com/sports/mlb/new-york-yankees/linked-to-japanese-star-tatsuya-imai/
Probably not as good Yamamoto. That's why the Yankees are leading in this Imai sweepstakes. But they certainly could use a guy who knows how to pitch. Apparently, Imai still thinks it's the '80s glam metal scene. He has a hairdo that would make a lion jealous. Not sure if the Yankee beard policy also allows for big hair.
Hal - who doesn't care - is leaving us with a singular legacy - WE don't care. I have been talking with many Yankee fan diehards lately and they all shrug and basically say the same thing: "I don't care." This used to be the time of year when I'd start to get stoked for the Hot Stove season, but the medical reports on injured players who were close to returning, when I couldn't wait for pitchers and catchers to report. Guess what? I don't care. Few of us really care about it anymore. He may be making money now, but that hayride may end sooner than he thinks. Another few years of bad baseball and they will be just another team with an interesting past and no future. Please pass that jar of fecal fly matter so I can spread it on my Stadium hot dog. I'm hungry.

He’ll have to cut it off, flip it
over and glue it on to his chin.
Not to worry, the Brain will bring Randy Levine and Lonn Trost to negotiations and they'll blow this one out of the park.
Just like they did with Juan Soto. Winning!
