Well, that was raw.
One hit.
A blowout.
A lost series.
A fiasco.
Today, after Max Fried went out in the 3rd, the Yankees had as much chance of winning the game as Epstein did of surviving a shift change.
Next up, the Mets.
The battle to be NYC's worst team.
Maybe YES can sign Kid Rock to play an alternative game.

Fried getting hurt is one thing. Bad luck—and something all too common in the game today.
But the utter lack of effort and lack of basic skills by the rest of the team is disgraceful. If people making this sort of money can't get up for playing a game, why should we care about watching them?
Uh oh, Fried with a barking elbow. He'd had control issues the last three starts. And before that, he had control issues this year and tweaked his delivery, pitching from the stretch instead of the full windup. And now with this injury, so you gotta think that probably there was something going on well before.
And this is why Cashman should've signed a free agent pitcher or traded Jizz Chasm for another starter. There were free agent pitchers available. There were Japanese pitchers available. Too late now. Fucking Cashman.
Did I say the Orioles would be tough to beat this series? Did I say the Yankees would be hard pressed to win one game? Did I say the Yankees offense has fallen off a cliff? Uh huh, Uh huh, and Uh huh.
So much winning. Tired of all the winning. WE WILL NEVER LOSE AGAIN.
Hey, did ya'll notice that, in Tuesday night's game, Judge as the #2 hitter came up in the top 9th with 2 outs, the Yankees last potential at-bat? For the first time this year (for the Yankees, at least), WHOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it's the first time this year that Judge came up in such situation, and he even got a hit (single), so the STAT NURDS can celebrate! (But let's not get too crazy, it was a 6-2 game at that time.)
So the Battlin' Bronx Bastards lost 5 out of 6 this road trip. This is a lot closer to what they really are than the 14 out of 16 or whatever that they won. I think this is a .500 ball club. They were getting carried by their starting pitching. Now, with Fried hurt, that's it. We can stop pretending about contending. Come along a baby, whole lotta losin' goin' on.
This pathetic display of offense - this is why they needed to develop guys like Jasson Dominguez and Spencer Jones. Now Dominguez is hurt, got a PRP shot in his shoulder today, who knows how long he'll be out. All due to stupid managing by fucking Ba-Boone. Jones has looked terrible, sure. But they should keep running him out there. They ain't winning anything this year. It won't make a rat's ass of a difference if Trent Grisham is playing CF or Spencer Jones.
At least Volpe fits right in.
14 runs over last 6 games, 6 runs in one game. Mets (whose season could turn around with a successful series), Jays (who we know dominate the Yankees) and the Rays are next on the schedule. These Yankees won't win 3 games in that stretch. They probably won't win 2.
Apologies about my micro rants earlier.
Sometimes this team makes me feel so grumpy.
I was originally going to title today's game thread:
Hopefully Tommy Fried . . . uh, like you know . . . Max John is sharper than he's been of late but I didn't want to tempt the rats of the JuJu gods.
Many would say – but AA, that just thinking IT was enough.
Well, the man has been pitching weirdly for weeks so it doesn't take a Matt Blake or AI'ron Boone to know that something might have been perforated in elbow town.
Time to convert Camilo Doval into a starter.
RATS = WRATH
(although - I bet that those JuJu dogs are mighty tasty!)
