This morning, the city of Tampa has new hope: Its Florida State League champion Yankees.While we will never forgive the team for its shameful cheapshot on Francisco Cervelli in spring training of 2008, we have never held the city accountable. To do so would run against our moral keel.
Therefore, today, we offer the Brisk Dove of Peace to good people of this downtrodden land in the form of the Florida State Championship Belt.
Wear it proudly, Tampa.
