With injuries to Rodon and Bader, Cashman Doomsday Clock inches another minute closer to midnight

If he looks nervous, maybe we all should be.

Rodon was a gamble because of the injuries he has had. Bader has been hurt a lot also. The Genius needs to stop listening to Dr. Gumbatz. Better yet, the Genius should pull a Constanza and do everything completely opposite to what he believes. He is a dunce and should not trust himself.

This is about the stage of the season—way early this year—when I write something saying that a GM and owner who really cared about winning would decide to re-set.

Sell-off/trade pretty much everybody but Judge. Start playing all the infield kids, Volpe and the Oswaldii, put Austin Wells behind the plate, and begin anew.

But it's stupid to write that, because it's never going to happen. Our GM and owner don't really care about winning it all, and these injuries came at just the right time for them: after most of the season plans and big ticket buys have been made, and before we can see how weak even the best version of the team they put together was.

"And this concludes the contention segment of our 20202s program. For more serious attempts to win the American League pennant, please tune in sometime in 2030. Thank you!"

I don't think Bader is a grievous loss--good fielder, but a mediocre offensively. Why not just give Florial a shot already yet? Then dump Donaldson and put Oswaldo at third.

Yes, EBD, the loss of Bader is not grievous, unless you factor in that we also gave up a pretty darn good LSP.
Then you kinda make a Homer Simpson cringe.
