The Globe and Mail (Canada)

Dear Editor,
Stop the presses. Your weather listings have quietly dumped Sarnia from the Air Quality Health Index! This is akin to leaving the Yankees out of the baseball standings just because they too are boringly tops in their field of endeavour. Now the Globe lists Ottawa, then Toronto and its satellites, none of which can hold a flare to Sarnia's numbers.
Much hand-wringing goes on in this community about why we can't attract new businesses, young families, a doctor or two or more tourism. It's as if a black cloud hangs over our heads. The old pollution index gave us a daily, persistent clue. So, bring back our little black cloud, if you will, until the air is cleaner, the water is purer and Sarnia becomes the gem it should be.

There is a lot of pollution around the world. The water bodies are all contaminated ...therefore it is a very essential requirement that we step up and make conscious efforts to preserve the water around us.
