Brigadoon Refsynder is having a bad, terrible, awful rotten spring

Rob "Brigadoon" Refsnyder - so named for his tendency to appear, get a big hit and then vanish for 100 years - currently leads the Yankees in spring at bats, with 16, and - gulp - strikeouts, with 7.

Ref is batting .125, and unless that changes soon, he'll face a depressing - hell, nearly suicidal - ticket back to Scranton - his fourth year in the Electric City - or a merciful trade to some other organization.

He'll turn 26 this month. It seems like he should be 30. But he's the same age as Brad Mitchell, Chad Green, Ben Heller, Giovanni Gallegos, Dietrich Enns, Tyler Austin and Mason Williams. He's competing with each for the 25th spot on the roster. Let's hope a few balls drop in, and we don't small-sample-size this guy and force him to disappear until 3017.

Clearly, given our new Yankee mantra, Refsnyder is just about to go 4-4 with two dingers. and, playing his natural position for a change, I think we'll see some compelling defense from him. And soon. Maybe today!

He'll prove to be our most important 25th man , ever.

THE ROB REFSNYDER MENTAL BEAT DOWN CONTINUES........ THE YANKEE BRASS HAS TURNED REFSNYDER INTO OUR VERSION OF DEADPOOL (WITHOUT THE HAPPY ENDING)...... NEW NICKNAME FOR REFSNYDER? ... DEADPOOL.

I like this Deadpool idea. What I can't figure out about Ref is, is he really kind of a nothing, or did the organization "manage" him so well that they killed his abilities? Wouldn't be the first time we've seen that.
