This Is Severino Day......

Cauldron boil and cauldron bubble....

What will Luis do?

Time for some predictions.

Look into the crystal ball and see;

1.  A few solid innings, causing us to nod in appreciation.  We begin to hope.
2.  A three run mistake in the third or fourth inning....a homer or bases clearing double.
3.  A struggle through 6 innings.  104 pitches.
4.  Yanks behind by 4.
5.  By games end, 11 Yankees will have K'd ( yesterday was 12 ).
6.  Chad Green for 1 2/3.
7.  Shreve for 1/3.
8.  Chappo for 1 inning.  But he'll get into trouble.  He is not what he once was.
9.  Yankees fail to establish offense.
10.  One home run ( solo).
11.  Yankees drop game to Brewers.  Goal of winning a series fizzles.
12.  We all go home and blow something up.
13.  Wait 'til tomorrow.
14.  Duque hung over.

What does yours say?

I used to say you can't predict baseball but, yeah, everything you said is fairly obvious.

Well, you were right about the mistake but a wee bit optimistic about the inning.

This obliterates your #1 (A few solid innings, causing us to nod in appreciation. We begin to hope.) but makes #3 (A struggle through 6 innings. 104 pitches.) seem pretty likely.

Time to mow the lawn.

Give Clippard another chance, Joe. It's just like playing the slots. Gotta hang in there until that cold machine gets hot and pays out.

2 through 14 look doable here. It's only a few innings so far, but the writing is on the short-porch wall.

We have had a lot of injuries, but how do so many players, pitchers included, go south all at the same exact time, and then stay there? It's really pretty incredible. Of course, everyone playing to near-perfection for six weeks was pretty incredible, too. But this is crazy.

We have no bullpen. We have sketchy starters. The Red Sox are going to put us under .500 if we're not already there by then. When the lineup could score 8 or 12 runs a game, we had a chance. That's gone by the boards now.

I hope Chapman and Betances come around so we can trade them at the end of the month and rob some teams blind. Ty, who is still not the guy, will not get us a cheese food-covered nacho at this point.

Can we trade Girardi and Rothschild for a few lugnuts? Let Pena manage. I bet he'd be pretty good.

Nobody's Fault Today. Win Or Lose. Winning Feels much Better By The Way.

So Now We Can All Ponder If This IS The Breakthrough Afternoon Of Clint Frazier. The Man Who Went To Town.

I turned it off in the fifth inning.
Turned it back on later intending to switch to the Mets game and saw Frazier getting mobbed at the plate.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

What is the term for anti-pineapple?

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

Anti pineapple should be a photo, perhaps of a ham with beautiful juicy slices of pineapple on top. Canned pineapples, completely sanitary canned sliced pineapples.

WE BETTER NOT GIVE UP MUCH FOR HIM.

Leinstery said...

Not just Bour, they're thinking about Brand Hand too. Someone please cut the phone lines to Cashman's office. Call the Russians and have them hack his caller id so every call comes up as Scot Boras
