Cito: "I love the Yankees."

"I love the Yankees," he said. "I've watched pretty much every World Series (in my lifetime), glued to the TV. They've been my favorite team since I was 3 years old."

Am I the only one that sees the writing on the walls here? Cito Culver. Citi Field. Coincidence?

When this guy is stabbing balls out of the air for the Mets, I'll be laughing. When this guy is turning the cavernous field in Queens into a hitter's park, I'll smile condescendingly. When this fucker is inaugurated into the Hall of Fame with an orange NY, I'll be the one pointing to this day. Mark it.

Hey, I've loved the Yankees since I was 3. I was glued to the tv to watch the World Series in '49, '50, '51, '52, etc. [After I started school I always seemed to get "sick" in October, so day games were not a problem.]
So the kid sounds just like me.
Give him a chance; it's not like we never found gold drafting a high school shortstop who had a college scholarship offer in the first round.
