Given Tanaka's problems early in season and bad kharma from steinbrenner's niggardly approach to payroll, I say Birds 7 to 2
Without the whip in Buck Blowater's hand, it's possible the Orioles will go 0-for-162 this year, including a 15-to-2 loss tomorrow.
The O's had nothing in 2018 but Buck. And Buck cared about nothing except beating the Yankees. I live in an area (Virginia, a few ticks outside the DC metro area) where the Orioles games are televised (most of 'em, anyway). You could literally see it last year in Buck's face. If it was the Yankees, all the muscles in his neck were drum-tight, all game long; he never went to the bathroom. BUT: If the opponent was the LA Angels, say -- he went back to the lockerroom 15 times during the game (to hit the bottle, have sex, send texts to Robert Mueller, or whatever). No tension!
It might take 5-7 years for that team to "rebuild." Hard as it is to believe here, some baseball teams have problems worse than Curtis Lemay, Tulo, and Ice Cream Sandwich behind the plate!
Baldy-more, 7-1. Tanaka leaves game with a "strain" in his elbow in the second inning, after surrendering three straight home runs.

What difference does it make? $teinbrenner thinks he already won, by staying under the luxury tax threshold. Yankee fans are the losers because the starting rotation is mediocre, especially considering their questionable health. I'll bet they will be using an "opener" at least once a week before the end of April.

Honestly, I'm having a hard time even caring. The idea that we had "no room" for Bryce Harper will stick in my craw til the day I die. No matter how many times Judge says we have such a great lineup...and Jack Curry agrees wholeheartedly on Twitter...it burns like acid reflux after a night of chili and Manhattans.
