I KNEW IT!!

I WAS WATCHING THE GAME AT A RESTAURANT, AND SAW HIM GET HIT.

HE BENT DOWN AND DIDN'T MOVE FOR A COUPLE SECONDS.

IT DEFINITELY LOOKED LIKE IT HURT HIM PRETTY BAD.

I SAID TO MYSELF, "THAT'S IT, HE'S DONE."

M'FER. M'FER.

HE JUST CAN NEVER GET GOING.

It appears the poor guy is suffering some kind of Biblical nightmare. One (or more) of the previous 7 generations of Birds really pissed off The Lord, and now the collective sins have been visited upon him 7-fold.

Yeah, I know -- not too damn likely.

If there's a better explanation, I'd like to hear it.

Well, he seems to be okay. AND...Coops is going to keep both Bird and Voit on the roster after all, at least until Hicks gets back.

Wattaya know? He DOES read this site!

Meanwhile, right next to the Post article on Bird, the headline reads, "Cashman pours cold water on Gio's rotation hopes."

That's hilarious. Coops can pour whatever he want on whoever he wants. We both know that it's Swannee who determines the temperature of the water around here.
