I REMEMBER MY DAD BEING ANGRY THAT DANNY THOMAS WAS SOON ADVERTISING THE NORELCO COFFEE MAKER...LOL, TRUE.

HE WAS AS SICK A YANKEE FAN AS I AM NOW (BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE THAT "HATE THE METS" GENE THAT I POSSESS), WHICH KIND OF ANNOYED ME.

The genius part of that commercial is the idea of putting your coffee maker right in your living room, by the tree. No more getting up to go to the kitchen to brew a caffeine jolt--it's right there by your armchair!

Brilliant. If you could install a toilet by the fireplace, you wouldn't have to go far for anything.
