Stupid deal. Stupid money. NOT a generational talent. Brian is an asshole. Hal is now the moron. Boonie is a diskless wonder. I'm not a fan of this particular deal. There is little joy in the news lately.
Yeah, one step forward, three steps backward. Straight out of "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly": "one bastard goes in, another one comes out!" Did I say they always replace one millstone with another millstone?
Not sure why many Yankee fans wanted to run back the same team that came up short last year. What the hell's the point? Shouldn't we try to get better, not just stay the same? So another year with Jasson Dominguez in the minors.
Trade the kids already. Do one thing or another. Not this direction-less bullshit.
Bellinger gets a 20 mill signing bonus. A front loaded contract. Evidently, he understands the concept of present value.
There are opt outs after the second and third years. If he opts out, the Yankees should give thanks to God, thanks to Bellinger, his agent, his family, his friends. But they won't. They'll just ante up more money to keep him. If he doesn't opt out, that means he became a millstone and will stay a millstone on the Yankees until the contract expires. And even then, Cashman might re-sign him to another three year deal. That's how Yankee management works these days.

Boone has no disk, nor does he have a dick.

Pretty much in favor of letting any opt outs go.
Apparently Bellinger’s deal is structured with opt outs every two weeks.
So we're basically running out last year's roster and we're expecting to win a World Series...Yanks FO are cracking it...in a drug sort of way...
THIS was the big move. Now we can just re-run all the posts from last year, cruise control, a greased luge ride straight to hell...
Do not ask for whom the Bellinger tolls.
