I realize Baltimore lost to the Blue Jays, a Contadina team. But hell, we do that, too. We have a very easy schedule this month and the Orioles have a tough one, Blue Jays aside. And still, we suck. Because Hal and Cashman and Boone suck. Scheiße.
I have previously talked in this space about how the NY Jets stole decades from my life. It began with Joe Willie when I was a tender young lad - I thought it would always be that way, so I placed my loyalty on them. I could elaborate, but let me just state that my heart was broken repeatedly for the next 45 years, until I quit those fuckers. And the point? The Jets would sometimes win against great teams, but then would lose to AWFUL teams. Over and over. EVERY YEAR, it became almost a game for me and my brother spot the first article that mentioned "mental problems." It happened every year, some professional commentator would coldly identify the team's performance and pronounce a case of "MENTAL PROBLEMS." And we fans also knew it was "MANAGEMENT." The worst fucking management in football. The worst drafts and acquisitions and management and staff. I feel a case of the Jets coming on again. Same bullshit. Mental problems and bad management. I will not leave the Yankees, as I did the Jets. Never. But sometimes I wonder about my own mental problems. Why am I so loyal to these assholes?
