The short-lived Yankee give-away, the George Steinbrenner weather vane, distributed by Dellwood to children 14 and under on Steinbrenner Appreciation Day 1974 and 1983. No one was in attendance to receive this largesse. The remaining thousands were melted down and repurposed to provide the steel infrastructure for the new stadium. Save for several that have bee recovered and are for sale at Steiner Sports Memorabilia . . .
