HATS OFF TO THE HATED RED SOX

Yeah, that's right. Hats off to the hated Red Sox for broom sweeping the Artful Dodgers. I watched the national tv game last night. Boston Carmines, who wear a lot of yellow for some weird reason, kicked around the Dodgers, made them look like Little Leaguers.

Thought it was worth a new thread. That was sweeeeeeeeeet last night. Never enjoyed a game more. To see those disgusting Artful Dodgers get their butts handed to them, broom swept in their own ball park. It was priceless. That was our World Series this year. Yeah, we have to live vicariously now, through the hearts and minds of one of our arch rivals. But so be it, if it means the destruction of the L.A. Dodgers.

There is some ridiculous thought amonst the news media. no doubt powered by the gambling establishment, that the Yankees will be the A.L. pennant winners and will go the World Series this year. Yeah? In what universe? The Red Sox last night looked like the best team in the A.L. Hell, they sure looked like the best team in baseball. These guys battle. They're mentally tough. They foul off and spoil oil tankers full of close pitches, until they get one they can handle. And then they hit it, unlike the Yankees.

Cashman apologists always ask where are the great players that Cashman traded away? I don't know about any great, great players. But there were some good ones that the Yankees sure could've used, if Cashman had let them play here. That Caleb Durbin kid, now playing 3B, looking every bit as annoying as the Evil Dwarf Jose Altuve, got a couple more hits. Took a high fastball, inside outed it into right center field. If he can do that, that guy's going to be a killer. Then there's Garret Whitlock, who looks better than just about anybody we have coming out of the bullpen. Then there's pudgy catcher Carlos Narvaez, who isn't having a good year, but he still proved that he's a faster and better base runner than Trent Grisham.

Boston's bullpen looks immensely deep. They can play the parlor game of searching for the most ineffective reliever, yet emerge unscathed and triumphant. Their no-name starters are plenty good enough to win a championship.

There is just no comparison between the Yankees and the Red Sox. Boston is better, a lot better. If that be the judgment of heaven for this year, then so be it. God speed to the Red Sox. Because there is nothing I hate anywhere near as much as the L.A. Dodgers.

Exactly, Hammer. Same thing with Cashman simply handing the Mets Holmes, Weaver, and Torrens. And Devin Williams, who I couldn't stand but could have drawn SOMETHING on the trading block.

And I rooted—tepidly, tepidly—for the Sox in the infamous 2018 World Series of Death. Have to. The Dodgers left us.

Can't disagree with one word of your post, HOG. And IF I were one of those people who believe in curses and curse-reversals, well, this might all make some sense on a cosmic level, as well. UGH.

The Orioles have traded Rutschman to the Red Sox, per Jeff Passan for former Yankee prospect Carlos Narváez. Kelvin Castro has been recalled from SWB for our open bullpen spot

Three big sluggers Cashman will acquire soon enough. MVP caliber. Judge, Stanton, Bellinger. Everybody else is playing checkers. Cash is playing with himself.

The enemy of my enemy is my frenemy. Or something like that. Politics make strange bedfellows.

Let's examine Cashman's winnings at the trade deadline. 2 guys who can hit, but can't field, playing positions where we already have guys who can do both. Better. We needed righty hitters. Cashman's one for two on that.

We came looking for a catcher, but the Red Sox caught that. Nuff said.

We needed relievers. But we gave one away, for the lefty hitter who plays a position we absolutely did not need to upgrade and didn't.

I've learned to take happy pills whenever Cashman talks trade. He's absolutely the worst GM who ever had $300M to spend building a team.

If there's a god in heaven, I beseech you! DO NOT TENDER THIS CLOWN WITH ANOTHER CONTRACT! (crickets)

Someone send a gift basket to Dominguez and Spencer to comfort them on the way back to Scranton. If they are extremely lucky, they will get traded for broken parts in the next 4 hours. Then they might have a baseball career.

When Cashman goes a-trading, every other GM sees him coming like an American tourist on a 3rd world holiday, with his wallet hanging out of his pocket, wearing a stupid red hat.

If he hasn't been rolled by dinner time, they're slacking.
