IIH,IIF,IIC Bags First Win During "Hot Stove " League

According to totally unreliable and unnamable sources, the editors, staff, writers, owners and fans of IIH, IIF, IIC have successfully scuttled the trade for Mike Cameron, 36 year-old former hitter, speedster and golden glove.

" This means we still have the Melkster," bubbled a jubilant Brian Cashman, as he followed Bernard Madoff into his Park Avenue apartment building yesterday.

Immediately after the Yankee GM's confirmatory remark, a party broke out at the IIH, IIF, IIC corporate offices ( see celebratory journalists above ).

Hank or Hal ( it was diffficult to tell which favored son was shouting in the dark and noisy VIP room of the Latin Quarter night club last night), proclaimed that, " he ( they ) were influenced by the editorial barbs and poignancy of the IIH, IIF, IIC blogsite."

" This blown up trade is on the media ( one of them said ), and they'll just have to deal with the consequences."

And so we shall.

Alphonso,

What happened to your vow of always being hopeless in order not to jinx us?

If this trade goes through... it's on you.

That's why I haven't ventured , yet, into the big leagues of this hot stove season.

If we wind up with Cameron, it will be on me. But a cheap, slow footed, weak-hitting center fielder does us far less harm than:

A, Signing Manny.

B. Not signing Tixiera,

C. Signing Manny.

D. Signing Manny

]E. Investing with Bernie Madoff.
