Peter Abraham, that crazy New England Patriots fan, got a great line from Brian Cashman regarding his transpo to NoCal last night to seal the deal with Sabathia:
We asked Brian Cashmam how he got to Oakland last night.
“Commercial flight,” he said.
“Commercial flight,” he said.
“Not private?” I asked.
“We’re not the Red Sox,” Cashman said with a laugh.
That crazy Cashman. Between that and the whoopie cushion incident, it seems the fun never ends with that fella.
In other, somewhat surprising news, word is filtering out that the two teams that have made the biggest contract offers to Mark Teixeira are:
Wait. Waaaaaaaaiiiit. Ready for it?
Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
As in, the Orange Birds and the Natty Lights. Nothing like counting $100 bills on a sinking cruise ship, eh?
