The Yankees, for the last month anyone can count, are the worst team in baseball. The bottom of the barrel.
Stuck at 55 wins, they may end the year with 65 wins.
Rodon is the starting pitcher version of our former sweaty bullpen closer ( no name needed here ).
We have weaknesses everywhere, but mostly on offense, defense and with our pitching staff. Oops. that's everyone. The manager and coaches don't seem to be breathing much fresh air, either.
Even when we get six innings of shut-out ball from a starter, it isn't enough.
And we all know...as long as Hal is in love with Cashman and Boone, nothing will change in our lifetimes.
Bring on a diversion.
This season is over.

Diversion? The RailRiders usually make a second half pennant push. Exciting win last night in Syracuse. Adam Marco and Emily Messina call a good game.
Allow me to do the math.
At their current (5-16) rate, the team will win 22 more games this year, make it 77 for the season. That’s enough for the team to walk away from Boone (Remember, it’s an option year for him next year, so they don’t have to “fire” him) More than likely we’ll get a boone clone, younger, more articulate, but just as useless.
SURPRISE SURPRISE:
Hot off the presses:
Here's your latest bit of unsurprising BS:

AA,
Hopefully he said "take the cannoli"
Those first few months sure were fun.
I picked 66 wins at the start of the season, and I'm doubling down, confident in that number. This team has not yet begun to flop!
Great piece, Duque—and great suggestions, Doug!
And the Yanks should've gone after Soto in 2022, when he was first on the market, and when he could've put them over the top. Gleyber and, say, Volpe would've done it. Then they would still have all those pitchers plus Michael King.
I believe I picked 77...
I don't remember what I said. 120? 104?
Something stupid.
We all get excited at times, Jm...
