With Clarke Schmidt getting pulled today due to shoulder soreness - perhaps its time for some more Gallo . . .

Earlier today after getting cut by the White Sox, Joey Gallo announced on social media that he was leaving the outfield to continue his career as a pitcher:

"While Gallo has no professional experience on the mound, he did pitch in high school (even throwing a no-hitter) and has long had among the most impressive throwing arms in the game among position players, which was key to him earning two Gold Gloves in right field."

With the start of Schmidt's 2025 season now in doubt, there's no question that the Yankees rotation is in need of some immediate assistance.

And few players know more about strikeouts than Joey G !

Start him off in the bullpen, let him build some arm strength and confidence and I'm sure he'll perform well for us.

Its a no-brainer, Brian.

GO YANKEES !

Nevermind Bauer in Japan the answer is here waiting in Scotland for a call to rescue the Yankees season

I have a verified 83mph fastball and can also throw a knuckleball

Im 55 years old have a bum knee so Boone with his tactical genius could also use me as a pinch runner with my speed making me cause havoc on the basepaths

Im willing to play for league minimum though Casham will probably give me a 6 year deal for lucury tax reasons

It brings me no pleasure to say this, but I'm on the record that Clarke Schmidt should've been traded the winter of 2023. I thought he'd reached his zenith as a Yankee. Maybe he'd get even better elsewhere but it wouldn't be here. That was the time to trade him. Because although he'd gotten a lot better, he was still nothing more than a 4th or 5th starter here. Barely a five inning pitcher who couldn't take the next step up. Better to move on and give another kid a chance to develop into something a lot more.

With Gallo as a pitcher, the catcher won't need to give Joey the pitch selection by using a deceptive finger code. He will simply use eye and face twitches as a method to transmit the desired preferred pitch.

That's an expertly chosen photo of Gallo, AA.
