Speaking of hyped-up Yankee players:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/anthony-volpe-was-mlb-s-worst-everyday-player-in-2025-and-it-was-hard-to-watch/vi-AA1UTG5M?ocid=winp1taskbar&cvid=9f4c686d358a404495576a50fefe0bcb&ei=44
I've never been a Volpe fan, and will be very glad to see the last of him. But as we were discussing this weekend, I wonder if his injury last year was actually much worse than what the Yankees made out...just as Gary Sanchez's injury was probably much worse than what the Yankees made out...just as Anthony Rizzo's injury was openly, obviously much worse than what the Yankees made out.
This is the most infuriating thing about the Hal & Pal Yankees, on a very long list of same: how constantly and thoughtlessly they set their own players up for failure.
They should've traded Volpe after that Oriole game, where Volpe and that former Red Sox guy - I forget his name - must be early Alzheimer's setting in - combined to flush it down the toilet.
Much to my dismay, I agree with all of you,
"Yanks sign 16-year-old catcher Marko Morua, "first-ever Hungarian!" ETA: eternity."
They were going to sign the kid from Transylvania but he can only play night games.
But he might get distracted and look for virgin blood to drink in the stands
Hold on I have no idea are their a lot of virgins in the Bronx?
Last I checked, there are no virgins anywhere in America.
The kid from Translyvania has the strength of the undead - he can throw 200 mph. So, once again, Brainless Cashman. Or shall we say, Bloodless Cashman?
