By the end of last night's Yankee ninth, the Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim didn't know what hit them.
Molina walked.
The Melkman reached on an error.
Betemit launched a Betemissile. Three runs in.
A-Rod set off an A-bomb. Fourth run in.
Godzilla stroked a sweet single to center.
And by the time the smoke cleared, Anaheim's lead had been cut down to 9 runs.
That's called getting inside the opposition's heads. Letting them know that, against this ballclub, no double-digit lead is safe.

Joba appears to be great. Although we can only use him for 2 innings every 5 days ( rest the two days before and two days after any work ). Don't we all wish our work schedules were so arranged...and for $1.5 million?
Edwar appears one more grand slam away from a return to the "Prarie " league in southern Mexico. He can't dominate in the major leagues with one very, very slow pitch. So, is he going to be great or horrible? The jury is still out. As, it appears, is food.
Mariano appears to be human. Which is regrettable ( in baseball ).
Farnsworth appears to be a basket case when it matters. Other than that, he appears totally unlikeable.
Vallone appears unable to throw the ball over the plate. But, as a lefty reliever, such is not necessary.
Sean Henn appears to be less talented than Sean Penn who, in truth, would be better in our pen. I think the surgeons operated on Sean's wrong arm.
That other guy ( we got him in the RJ Unit trade ) appears to be pretty good, unless he is overworked and his arm is tired. Which, it appears, it is.
Finally, it appears we no longer have Ramiro Mendoza to pick-up the team when Mussina appears to have lost it well into the second inning.
