Generally, you hate to see that old bugaboo, the lead-off walk. (But, hey, if it were easy, everybody could do it, and that's what makes baseball a great game.)
I'll pass that along. Also, I'll tell him that the first-pitch strike is the pitcher's second best friend (because I'm his best friend now!).
Not to be historically accurate or anything, but the real best friend of a pitcher is the 3 run double.
