How Have " The People Behind The Curtains" Changed?

Ken Davidoff, sports writer for NY Newsday, published an informative article today on
" the entourage " ( business people; baseball people; personal people, etc ) that currently feeds the A-Rod brand.

I got to thinking about how some of this group might be changing, given the newly "outed" 3rd baseman's penchant for replacing his support team in a crisis:

Old -Billionaire Warren Buffett advised A-Rod to dump Scott Boras after his 2007 Yankee option expired.

New- Peripatetic Billionaire Robert Allen Stanford advises A-Rod full to invest bonus money in "premium return CDs" from Antigua Bank in exchange for a few wickets at a local cricket match.

Old - Pepe Gomez, a friend since elementary school, serves as " unofficial swing coach. "

New - Emmit Smith, former running back for the Dallas Cowboys, takes over as personal swing coach when Alex agrees to gig on "Dancing with the Stars."

Old - Constantine Scurtis - A-Rod's brother-in-law ran the superstar's fledgling real estate company.

New - Nicholas Fuld, former CEO of Lehman brothers leaves A-Rod management responsibility for $51 trillion in credit default swaps.

Old - Cesar Caceres - A Yankee clubhouse attendant ( nicknamed " heat ") dedicates most of his energy attending to A-rod's needs ( coffee, juice, salad, etc ).

New - Madonna, a 50 something Kabbalah Cantor, is rumored to provide A-Rod a few hours of her own heat attending to A-Rod's needs.

Old - Ben Porritt , recently a talking head for John McCain during his run for President is " the new guy " in A-Rod's world.

New - Cynthia Rodriguez, former wife of A-Rod ( temporarily dumped for a lap dancer in Boston ) replaces "the new guy" during former hubby's interview with Peter Gammons .

I'm stopping now. This isn't as amusing as I had hoped.
