Wells Converts To First Pitch Pop-up Hitter

Rally killer.

Fails to work count.

Pitchers breathe sighs of relief.

Early, quick outs.

Low pitch counts.

No RBI's.

No clutch hits.

Only Overbay remains a player.

Adams reverts to mediocrity.

Without DH we are simply a 4 single team.

MO is showing it now.

RIP 2013 season.

Oh, pshaw. And pshakespeare. Robertson blows one night, Mariano the next. What are the odds? Pretty dang slim, slim.

Yeah, the bats have dried up, but father, how is this day different from any other day? If we had Grandy, Tex, A-Rod and Jeet in there, this post would have been about how Jeet is the only one who has managed to hit at Citi.

Our defense was more than solid. Our starting pitching from Phil and HK was great. Our two best relievers sucked, in succession.

By the way, I hear this Harvey kid, at least, is a pretty fair pitcher. He does this kind of thing to other teams, too. Like, every time out.

I still think that broken Granderknuckle was a lucky break for us, Duque's implication in the previous post aside. We have a very flawed, patchwork team that has done incredibly well. If all our 'stars' start showing up, we'll have a very flawed, patchwork, overpaid team that sucks in the clutch. Consistently, not just for a couple games here and there.

I think this group of misfits is a lot more interesting than the gazillionaires on the DL.

Sure glad we got rid of Swisher and Martin so we could play crappy, I mean "scrappy," guys like Stewart and The Might Suzuki.
