Well that was nice - an early morning inning of play out here. Fantastic event, playing the ninth at appr. 9am local time.
This loss is going to hurt. Big time.

I was under the (mistaken) impression that there exists a rule as to how long a rain delay may last. I checked an entry on Wikipedia that covers in detail various scenarios as to how/when/if a game is to be resumed and it states that umpires have been known to delay a game for up to three hours. I was really surprised when my computer began making noise again at about 08:30 this morning, so I actually witnessed the miserable end of this miserable game (which I bet few Americans stayed up for). I'll also bet that Girardi's (symbolic) hair is on fire.
