I Told You All. The Truth. Early.

It is why I ran away back the dirt field league in south Mexico. This team is too old and the players are too rich. Cash man ( where the buck stops.....I know there are many failures in the organization, but they all work for him) has failed miserably in all phases of his job except over-paying: A. The Pineda trade B. The endless contract for an aging A-rod C. Mis-judging young Yankee pitchers, and consistently dealing away the good ones D. The pathetic record with respect to draft picks E. Total absence of young players, major league ready F. Failure to see that Nunez can't play a position, thus reducing his trade-value for A+ to D- G. Selecting a stalker for a mistress H. Not convincing the Hal & Hank rubes to spend some of Dad's money on real talent I have to run. The federales don't like me tapping the phone wires.

I thought Cashman was against the ten year deal for A-Rod? Wasn't that Hank's move?

This season is done, finished, over, completed.
Time for a reality check.
Time to rebuild.
Time to start negotiating trades with NL contenders.
Time to trade veterans like Swisher, Kuroda, Granderson, etc., for the not quite ready for prime time stars of tomorrow.
Time to finish last and get a high draft pick for a change.
Time to start building championship teams for 2014, 2015, 2016, etc.

There was a point last year where I was ready to throw in the towel too. But the Yankees turned it around and finished in first. Yes, it looks very bad right now but there's still a long way to go and I can't believe they'll play this bad the rest of the way. GO YANKS!

The Yankees peddle a fantasy that every year without a ring is a failure.

As a consequence, they will never, can never, rebuild.

We only hurt ourselves and enrich the Steinbrenners by buying into the myths they sell. Another example: the "ghosts," "mystique and aura" of the stadium they tore down when they caught the eye of fatter pigeons on Wall Street.

Also: What Moneyplays said. GO YANKS!

Mystique and aura were removed when they remodeled the place in the 70s. If they were still there in 2004 we'd have beaten "bloody" Shitting in Game 6.
