The Hell With Diplomacy And Formalities

If you are reading this, you have read El Duque's rant below.

It triggered this reaction in me:

Let's spend the rest of the year " outing" Brian Cashman.

He has done what, in baseball terms, might be called a " criminally deplorable job'" in his duties to to build a minor league franchise.

True, we bring up one no name pitcher after another, and they seem to perform okay once in a while.  The big name pitching prospects all do nothing and remain failures.

But there is not a single position player, anywhere in this organization, that will ever be a decent Yankee player.  One or two may become decent for some other team, but not for the Yankees.

Mason Williams is a punk; he has no power, hits about .250 when red hot, and prefers bars to bases ( so do I, so I don't hold that against him).

Heathcott is better suited for that blood sport where you get into a cage and try to kill your opponent with fists, kicks, bites and spit.  He can't hit .220 in the minors.

Adams is kept only because we need someone to hit ground balls to the 33 year old cast-offs filling-in while our next set of prospects are being born.

I dread with horror the upcoming draft where we have 3 picks.  It will mean at least two immediate surgeries and one lost soul...likely yet another shortstop... who never gets out of Charleston.

Cashman has ridden a wave of George Steinbrenner spending and now that he has to select talent, the best he can come up with is that lady stalker whom he boinked in some restaurant in Tennessee.

He and his staff of talent evaluators, scouts, and draft room druggies has to go.  And I mean now.

We have nothing.  And we'll have nothing for a long time.

Nothing.  Say it out loud.
