Black Swan,

Yes it's been a brutal period. Particularly last night which just seemed cruel. I was staring at the screen heartsick.

But it will turn around. I have seen people hit in the head with hammers, poked in the eyes, and punched in the stomach and still the room gets painted.

When you lose Curly, Curly Joe is right there to take up the slack. Maybe he's not as good but the show goes on. Hopefully the kid recovers fully. That just sucked. Until then, call up Shemp.

AFTER THE INJURY TO FOWLER, IT CAST AN OBVIOUS, DARK SPELL FOR US THE REST OF THE GAME YESTERDAY...... I CONSIDERED FOWLER TO BE OUR "WILDCARD" PROSPECT..... AT 22, HE CAME OUT OF NOWHERE, AND HE WAS COMING ON HARD AND FAST IN DOUBLE AND TRIPLE A...... WHAT REALLY HURT, WAS MY REALIZATION THAT THIS KID ALSO IS A "SPEED" GUY...... HE HITS A LOT OF TRIPLES, STEALS BASES, AND MY GOD, CERTAINLY LOOKED LIKE A HUSTLER ON THAT FLY BALL LAST NIGHT...... HE MOST LIKELY WON'T EVER HAVE THAT BURST OF SPEED HE ONCE POSSESSED...... AND THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS SOMETHING WE CAN ALL CRY ON EACH OTHERS SHOULDERS ABOUT.
