So normally I wear the cap of whatever team is in-season. Today, for the first summer in I don’t know how long, I left my Yankee cap on the dresser & wore a random, non-team hat. This is serious. I’m in Doug K territory.

The big question, though, is, should I keep drinking? My wife has stopped, but (a) I’m lightly injured & can’t run for a few days, (b) the idiotic Big Dumbass Bill has passed, & (c) the Yankees suck. So … seems like another drink is in order.

Knowing this group, I think I know the answer, but input is welcome.

Have one stiff one, and chase it down with a cool one. That’s my four cents.

Did you take an arrow to the clavicle during archery training?

Unfortunate incident loading the trebuchet.

Yes, the movie was great as the plane crashed, Capt. Oveur.

Hopefully not an orchiectomy. Those are very painful without anesthesia.

I'm not even watching the game between dinner courses. Just reading the comments here. Much more entertaining.

Is there a rain delay? No one seems to be posting about the game.

Or... is it that bad?

What's in the box?!?!?!?

In the box…..oh that’s a pamphlet on what to do if you suffer a torsion

Never let a hot hitter keep playing. They need their rest.

The Blue Jay radio booth says Schmidt left the game with forearm "tightness."

All the good news here.

I'll go back to Dobie Gillis reruns.

AA: when I drink, I start calling people i haven’t spoken to in a while. So I’ve bern bust not paying attention to you, my estimable fellow travelers. My last bottle was something called Rye on Rye - beer aged in rue barrels, or something like that.

Hinkey Haines said...

Bern bust not? Or “haven’t been”.

Hinkey Haines said...

I hope there’ll be another meet-up this summer where we can ignore the Yankees.

The pitching staff is suddenly falling apar Schmidt left game with forearm tightness, normally a precursor for TJ surgery.

It’s all right behind them. Bye-Bye July rocks on.

AA, Are there? Tuesday was juicer than a freshwater clam!

It's not what you want...

I recommend hudson valley as others have suggested.

We can watch the future stars of the Yankees that will win the world series after we're all dead

Plus, we could probably get away with a bunch of signs that shit on management.

The last few seasons have been like preliminary tremors around Vesuvius. The earth rocks a little bit, the peasants stop ploughing and tending the vineyards for a few minutes, looking up in trepidation...

Nope. Everything still intact. The team goes on to still win the division even after blowing 15 games off a 15 1/2-game lead. They win a couple division titles, make a couple ALC Series. They make the World Series!

Another good start this year. What could possibly go wrong? Surely, Vesuvius is extinct, and what we heard is its death rattle. Right? No need to go move a few hundred miles down the coast, or maybe head for Rome. Right?

Was that another rumble? Why is everything shaking? Hey, it'll be all right. Always has been before...
