Spencer Jones had THREE homers today. That's 13 in 19 games at AAA this year. I wouldn't trade him, The Brain will....

Hopefully Cashman has an epiphany and decides to keep Jones and trades a few of our other questionable assets elsewhere.

One can dream, Kevin.

One can dream . . .

When you think about it, doesn't it seem that The Brain entered into some Faustian agreement? Like maybe he wins The Ring and finally loses "the apprentice" moniker, but every plan thereafter blows up in his face? Over the years he signs a player, said player suddenly loses his reflexes, shoulder, elbow, knees, mental collapse, diarrhea, sex addiction, eyesight, acid reflux, always something. And the farm boys who are consensus "can't miss" somehow do miss. Aint natural I says, the Devil has invoked a clause which he can start the torment before the actual Death. The Brain probably gets to live to a hundred and ten (chuckling to himself that he outsmarted Old Scratch), but in his haste didn't notice the "early torment" clause. Farfetched? Perhaps. But how else to explain this series of unlikely events? Given the same resources it's not unreasonable that everyone who reads this blog could have blundered into taking home one or two rings in the past fifteen years. I almost forgot to add, the mere fact that The Brain still has a job would be indicative that some devilry is involved. I rest my case.

Open the door to your office. I'm sorry Hal, but I'm not coming out...🤓

AA, you are on to something. Maybe a miniseries at the least. The Brain probably has the painting in a sealed room in his house with the usual deep red curtain covering it. At midnight he walks in, opens the curtain, kneels and in Latin says, "What is thy bidding, Master"?
