Here is a thought... With Wang on the way back could this lead to a situation in which Phil Hughes can end up in the pen. If so he might help in the event that Mo goes down... And if not Hughes then I would think that if Mo goes down Joba will have to bite the bullet and go to the pen and have Hughes be the number 5 starter. Becoming the closer is no less important then being an Ace... Mo proves that.
Duque, this is why some of us want Joba in the bullpen. And more reasons pile up every week. Did you know that he throws an average 75 pitches per out?
I have said for three years that JOBA must be the set-up guy until MO retires. Then, he becomes the closer.
How much more evidence does a team need than Joba's first year, when no one could hit him at all?
But the idiotic Yankee brasses are far more interested in defending their stupid decision to make Joba a starter, than they are in winning.
It is a disgrace.
