The Manny Baneulos Farewell Nursery Rhyme Song

I know an old ball club that traded a guy,
I don't know why they traded the guy.
Banuelos, good-bye...

I know and old ball club who traded Banuelos,
To churn the roster and lower the payrolls,
They traded Baneulos for two bullpen arms
What are the harms in getting new arms?
They traded Banuelos to replace Shawn Kelly
Who they sent into exile, like Nelson Mandeli...
They traded Kelly to get some guy,
That nobody knows, and nobody knows why.
Banuelos, good-bye...

I know and old ball club that signed Andrew Miller,
For eighth inning filler, they signed Andrew Miller,
They signed Miller to replace D-Rob,
Who did his job, the great D-Rob...
They ditched D-Rob after trading Shane Green,
Who replaced David Phelps,
Who replaced Vidal Nino,
Who replaced crazy Joba,
Who came with Phil Hughes,
(Remember the boos when they trotted out Hughes?)
They traded Kelley for Johnny Barbato
Whose elbow they say is like stringy tomato,
They got Barbato to replace Preston Claiborne,
Whose career, let's face it, no longer was airborne.
They dumped Claiborne for a Met named Germen,
Again and again, just men for more men...
You think we will win?

I know an old ball club that dealt Martin Prado,
Who could go anywhere, like strawberry Play-Doh.
They traded Prado and old David Phelps,
After signing Chase Headley,
And Chris Capuango,
Who replaced McCarthy
Who stepped in for Nova
Who tore up his elbow,
And who's days might be ovah,
They traded Prado for a guy named Eovaldi,
I know what this sounds like:
We're shopping at Aldi's.
They got Eovaldi to replace Tanaka,
For next July, when his elbow goes thwacka.
They dealt Prado to boost Refsnyder,
Who'll battle Pirela, a lovable fella.
They'll play the two rooks,
Or else sign an old guy,
(We all know they'll try to sign an old guy...)
And they'll sign an old pitcher to close the games
To save Andrew Miller
For eighth inning filler...
They signed Andrew Miller to ditch D-Rob,
Who did his job, the great D-Rob...
Let's hope he's no slob.

I know and old ball club that traded a guy,
Only Cashman knows why they traded the guy.
Banuelos, good-bye.

Another dead Killer B.

Singing these new lyrics to the old kids' song was fun, though. Wonder if we could get the scoreboard guy to put these up for a singalong at the Stadium this Spring? You know, one of those days when hardly anyone shows up for the game. Like, anytime between April and September.
