I guess we have to call it one for me, after today. Who could’ve
imagined it? The Miami Marlins taking a series at the Stadium that the Yankees
really needed to win!

mean to imply that we’re on the same level yet. I mean, the Yanks won one more

plays all over the field. Boy that Jazz Chisholm kid looked great out at

we’re better off with kids like that out there, rather than some prematurely

We should never have let Donnie Baseball get away. Of course, the fact that we have a ton of non-baseball people running things around here is why our team was built back-ass-wards.
You know, I just read an interesting article in the NY Times about our pitching coach, Matt Blake. Says he was a salesman before he ended up being the Indians pitching coach. Not much professional coaching experience at all. He never pitched professionally at any level. Does that sound like a good decision, for the New York Yankees to hire a guy who never pitched and hardly had any coaching experience? It's kind of like Luciano Pavarotti, if he was still alive and singing today, hiring the Glee Club Director of Timbuktoo to be his vocal coach.
I heard that pitchers like Cole are saying they like him and think he's good. And maybe he is good for technical stuff. But I shudder to think what he would tell young pitchers who are struggling and need moral support. Never having pitched professionally, would he have the ability to calm them down and get them through tough jams? Suddenly, the lack of mound visits during the game when our pitchers are struggling seem to make sense to me.
