Umm, yeah.
Mr. Bader seems like a nice enough kid. A good glove with a weak bat, at 26 he’s likely made at least a couple million out of baseball already, and good on him.
But the fans don’t know what you went through?
I know that athletes have to put up with a lot of guff today, mostly for doing exactly what all the rest of us would do if we were in their place. That is, accept large checks and room keys, and why not?
But the same edition of the Times that Bader’s quote appeared in happened to mention how many millions of Americans are on the verge of losing their health care. Not to mention how many have already lost it, and/or their livelihood, or their lives or their loved ones.
We don’t know what you went through, son? We know it in spades. The fact that you had to while away some off-days in your corporate bubble…we’re not impressed.
Chances are, Harrison here is just oblivious. But it’s this sort of solipsism that turns more fans off the game every year.

I am more than happy to get into it. I spent 40 years working in the Law, as an ADA, Defense Attorney and the Judiciary. I basically had to be accountable at all times. It is amazing that your first reaction was to call me a "Trumpie." I draw on my experiences which go well beyond the Trump years, including such gems as "If you like your health care, you can keep your health care," and "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor," and my personal favorite, "The cost will go down." No, I take that back, my favorite was how we can read the bill after it was signed. You have forgotten how bad that legislation was in your hatred of Trump.
P.S , my brother the doctor retired at 68 because of the mind-numbing regulations and debilitating effect of the ACA. Real Life Consequence.

I know many doctors who liked that legislation and want it enhanced, not ended. It has helped to keep me and others I know out of bankruptcy, among other things.
An honest appraisal of Obamacare—impossible coming from the Trump side, I realize—is that you on the right did everything you could to destroy it, and make it more difficult to get and to keep.
It has its problems. Still, it kept many people out of the poorhouse.
Meanwhile, I await the unveiling of your nonexistent, far-right plan, which will basically consist of letting millions of more Americans go bankrupt or die. Hurrah!
The U.S. is the only developed country in the world that does not have universal health care, and it does not come close to leading in any health care statistics. But hey, I know logic is not something your side every countenances.
Also, I'm very sorry your doctor brother had to retire with the small fortune he no doubt accumulated being a physician in this country. And I'm sure you're right about the cause, because it's well-known that there was previously no paperwork, no restrictions, no red tape at all coming from private insurance companies.
