The greatest APBA baseball lineup in history

1961... What a wonderful set of dice rolls!

And if we needed a DH, there was Johnny Blanchard, too.

Wasn't a good roll for us at Crosley Field

I'm 35... And have no idea wtf you're talking about with these cards and dice and any of that. I'm guessing you're about 82.

That said, should I sue the Yankees for causing my current state of depression? I've never been so miserable in my life. Instead of being out at some bar where I have a good 3% chance of getting laid (unless I drop my "opposite sex" requirement like A-Rod sometimes does), I'm here at home having just woke up at 10 pm reading some 82 year olds blog...

I know over .500 isn't terrible, but wow does it feel awful... I know I'm comparing the myth of previous seasons, sanitized of every slump, to a reality that shouldn't seem so miserable... But that's what depression is, and those fucking Yankees caused it. Or did ESPN cause it, by denying us A-Rod to deny John the A-Bomb, to deny us John in 2014? Either way, how does Mo do it? Trudging along, forever amazing, going out on top... of a real shitty pile of shit team he's stuck forever remembering as his last year? Is this how we're gonna remember John's last year? Why do the Yankees deny John the farewell tour Mo gets? Where's John's rocking chair made out of thhuuuuuuuuh? Anyway, I'm going to call a lawyer, call a shrink, or google WTF your blog post is about.

I played with the 1961 teams many times as a kid. Richardson is actually a pretty feeble leadoff man. John Blanchard was on this team and a "1-6-5-1" IIRC. Getting him into the lineup occurred regularly.
