Wait ! What?

There are indications on this blog that Stanton is injured.

Is that true?

How do you get injured by striking out?

If this is true, I am opening the Gentleman Jack today, early.

I would be happy to see him disappear like Jacoby.

We have a better chance with the 28 year-old misfit.

I'm with you, Alphonso.

I really hope this is the equivalent of what soldiers call "a good wound" in war—some kind of ailment that will not kill or seriously injure him, but make it so that he can no longer play the game of baseball.

Alas, it is reported to be only a "bicep strain." But isn't it POSSIBLE that his bicep has...I dunno, fallen out? That it is a degenerative condition that will leave him able to do absolutely everything but swing a bat?

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

By the by, shouldn't our Projected Wins Total be 54, not 53?

Don't make me come after you, Brains Trust!

Hilarious post from Pinstripe Alley site (yes, unlike the Yankees, I do some scouting):

"Initial Diagnosis Revealed!!!

RISP-itis.

Treatment: recovery in a small market with low expectations."

Hee-hee.
