What are we, the Yankees or Limp Bizkit?
First, we're on board with the $37 and the veterans part. Hopefully, MLB can raise more money than it pays CC Sabathia. (Note: It's fans MLB is tapping, not its own wallets.) But red caps? We do not wear red caps. Reds do. Angels do. Redsocks do. Let them wear red caps.
This is another attempt by Bowie Selig to humiliate us. Take our pictures in red caps. There are a million designs for a fundraiser. Why Redsock colors?
Would they put the image of George Washington in a tutu? Lincoln in a toga! How about a day when the U.S. Senate cross-dresses!
Wait. Wanna make money. Bras? Have all MLB teams were bras outside their uniforms, then sell bras for $100?
The Yanks supposedly have not yet decided on the Redsock caps. We say NO.
FIND A LOGO.
YES ON VETERANS.
NO ON RED CAPS.

Unacceptable.
You are getting close to a good idea.
Stick with the bra idea. Only it is not to be worn by the players outside their uniforms. There may be some who wear them now, inside their jerseys ( mostly in Boston ).
But the female fans should each be given one upon entering the stadium. At the 7th inning stretch, we have janet Jackson sing "Imaginary Friend Bless America," and then she removes her clothing from the waist up.
She leads all female fans in doing the same, until the entire female fan group joins her and puts on the red, white and blue " Go Yankees" bra.
That remains their attire until the next morning.
The redsox are pinkhatters so take it easy.
