It's time to take nominations for March Yankee Employee of the Month

Jon Weber? (Great spring for invisible player)

Phil Hughes? (Won coveted fifth starter role)

Joe Girardi? (Still never been honored)

Javier Vasquez (peace offering?)

Chad Gaudin (Continue tradition of awarding out-the-door players)

Jesus Montero (The Moosic Messiah)

John Weber can hit but he is not a geat glove.

He is also likely to be in his thirties.

And a bit overweight or bulked up on non HGH products, I fear.

Rumors abound that both Boone and Russo will make the starting 25.

Is Alphonso using the alias John Weber in Tampa?

No mention of Joba Chamberlain? He's the presumptive heir to Mariano, and the poor kid's ego could use a boost, besides.

And what about A-Rod, who made Buffalo the focus of media attention for the first time since the heyday of Thurman Thomas?

But who am I to question the wisdom of the sages....

Nick Swisher, for being Nick Swisher

Got to be Weber.
Not only because he's hitting almost .600, but also because, like some other recent winners, he's not likely to ever have another chance to be employee of the month.
Spring training averages may not mean anything, but what else can a player do when he's never given a chance to have a meaningful average?

Derek Jeter. Last I checked, he was still the greatest human being alive. That's gotta encompass EOTM honors right?

Dave Winfree- Made us forget Jamie Hoffmann

Zach Segovia- Bug eyed 'organizational depth' who might land us Miguel Cairo sometime in the near future.

Phil Hughes- Won something, I forget what.
