We can really do damage tonight and, in a cruelly vindictive way, maybe salvage this colonoscopy of a season

Boston is limping. They have fallen from first, and right now, Detroit holds the second AL wild card berth.

Last September, the rising, youthful Redsocks embarrassed us in Yankee Stadium, and our old, tired, slow-footed team never did recover. But Boston's miracle resurgence has gone wobbly. The great, Cooperstown-bound Jackie Yastremski Jr. is now batting .286, and David Price looks like the pitching version of A-Rod.

If we could just take them down a peg this week...

No more Aaron Hicks, please.

I think we aren't taking anyone down any pegs. Unless we play them in cribbage.

Severino is a bum, by the way.

Girardi kept A-Rod on the bench so Hicks could bat in a crucial 9th inning situation??? And he reneged on his Sunday promise to let Alex play in all four games if he wanted to, because Joe the Jerk is focused on "winning"?

This is incredible. I hate Girardi. I never liked him, but now...
