Thanks - I forgot about that. (Never been there.) I believe the technical terms is "retractable" which I suppose mean artificial turf. Yuck! As far as leeks, I think that mess in Tampa Bay is rather prone to them (so tells me a colleague who lives there and writes me when he goes "out to The Trop").
I love The Trop. 72 degrees all the time, which is a big improvement on the hot and nasty St Petersburg climate.
Haven't been to The Blue Jays place in a while. It used to be okay. I mean for someplace that's filled with Canadians.
The Toronto park is notorious for the hotel that is built into it. For years, exhibitionists entertained themselves—and voyeur fans—by having sex in the windows.
Which seems weird. I mean, traditionally—as an early Woody Allen routine tells us—baseball is used by American men to SLOW DOWN the sexual inclination, if you know what I mean.
I think they probably banned such shenanigans. I imagine it was rather like the experience of Caribbean, clothing optional beaches. Every other couple were absolutely gorgeous, drop-dead, young Europeans. In between? Aged, drooping American couples. Horrifying.
