I didn't see Sanchez go down. I was watching last season's The Terror. Sounds like the same thing was on YES.

Unfortunately, the Showalters have a bullpen, and it kinda/sorta sucks.

This is getting awfully tired. But it does seem like some sort of experiment.

The one guy on the team whose muscles aren't tuned as tight as a banjo string never gets injured...hmm.

Meanwhile, great idea to have Sanchez steal a base. I hope that was his decision.

Well, aside from all the injuries, not a bad night. Which I know is like saying, "Aside from THAT, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"

Still, Julie TB Sheets lost, reducing the division magic number to 4 (Yanks own the tiebreaker with them). Houston lost again, putting the Yanks two up on them for home field.

Boston won, and is still alive...no, they're not. I kid, I kid. The magic number for TWO teams to clinch against them is 6. Your Boston Red Sox spent yesterday trying to run up numbers and revive talk of J.D. battling Betts battling Bogaert for the MVP. Not gonna happen.

But...the Mets are still alive. For real. Should be quite something with the big crowds for the Dodgers this weekend. Why, today they almost hit 22,000!

Oh, and in the end? The Mets outscored the Diamondbacks 26-4 in their four-game sweep.

But I'm sure Arizona fans were sitting back and watching, and saying, "At least I'm glad we don't have those really excellent players who actually got us to the playoffs two years ago."
