What happened to Jack “Candy” Moldanado? John has been praising his producer Matt Shortis or Chortis or something like that.
just googled it… he’s gone. Possibly related to John’s call of Judge’s instant replay.
There's a rumor about Jack. If you look at his twitter account he seems to be anti-mask and posted a reference about Florida Covid deaths lower than NY Covid deaths. He also mentioned that they should be going on the road but are staying home because of money. Might have done him in...the latter relates to Judge's instant replay which wouldn't have happened if they were on the road.

If WED turns into a bullpen game, here's what's left (from Fangraphs data)
Britton -- threw 6 pitches in past 3 days
Joely R -- ditto, 6 pitches in 3 days
Ridings -- yeah, in the minors -- 15 pitches in the past week. They sent Gil out already today (8/18) . . . I don't think they can call Ridings back up this soon (?)
Other bullpen guys have thrown in 2 of the past 3 days. Green + Lasagna each have 5.1 innings in the past week, 87 pitches (Chad) and 88. Peralta has 5 innings and 67 pitches in the past week, 23 of which were last night.
Luetge last threw on 8/15. He threw 29 pitches on the 14th and 15th combined.
So when Heaney melts down -- or if this is a planned "bullpen" game -- we are going to see Luetge, Britton, and Joely R. Plus whoever gets called up today.
Please enjoy this sweep. Let it bring back sweet memories cuz Wed., is going to be a sheet show with Petticoat Junction on the mound.
