All this talk of Brian Cashman, and should-he-stay-or-should-he-go, leads me inside the mind of the man that patrolled second base in our Nation's capital many years ago.
Is it possible that he continues on, at least in part, in pursuit of a call to the Hall?

He was a four-year starter and batted well over .300 his senior season. He held the season hits record for years.
He speaks on civility in baseball. In his words, "In today's world, people claim civility is dead. I think that is false. I think civility has been reduced. There's no question about that. And that's sad."
He deserves a call to the Hall.
