Game played for Slade

In their constant churning for new arms, faces, wigs, etc., the Yankees today released outfielder and former top-draft pick Slade Heathcott.

Is he a victim of the recent six-game winning streak, which briefly rekindled Yankee hubris?

if only they could ever find a place for kids like Heathcott to play. Give em a chance. See if they can fly. I mean, I like bright, shiny toys like Ellsbury, but for a fraction of his contract, we could have found out if Heathcott was Major League. For all I know, Slade started hitting the bottle again or something. I might have, too, if I knew I would never progress beyond Scranton.

Yankee management sucks.

THE GUY (SLADE), HAD RAW TALENT...BUT NEVER STAYS ON THE FIELD...ALWAYS, ALWAYS HURT.........IN ANOTHER MATTER, ISN'T IT HILARIOUS THAT ALMOST EVERYONE IS MENTIONED TO FILL IN AND BE THE BACKUP FIRST BASEMAN WITH TEX OUT..... ROMINE, ACKLEY, HICKS, HEADLEY, MCCANN, EVERYONE, BUT ROB REFSNYDER...... OUR BRILLIANT "MANAGEMENT" GOES WITH THE THEORY, "REFSNYDER DOESN'T HAVE A POSITION, HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY FIRST, SO WE CAN'T PUT HIM THERE."............, NEITHER DOES ROMINE, ACKLEY, HICKS, HEADLEY, OR MCCANN!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...THEY ALL HAVE VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE AT FIRST (IF ANY)!...... SO WE FACE ANOTHER LEFTY TODAY, AND SCORE 1 RUN AGAIN.....SONOFABITCH!!! OUR "MANGAEMENT" TOTALLY IGNORED THE GAME BREAKING HIT REFSNYDER GOT LAST WEEK!!!! .......HOW DUMB CAN WE BE???

We can be dumber than 90% of all baseball organizations down to sub-A independent leagues.

Of course, I'm a long-time fan so I may be on the generous side there.

The Yankees are like a fish.

It dies in your kitchen from the head down.

Or something.

Another number 1 draft pick bites the dust. Nice work, Mr. Cashman.
