Hee-hee! Great one, Stang. But I'm going for a walk.

Will the price go up or down if I urinate on it?

OMG BRILLIANT post Stang, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stang said...

Thanks, you guys.

Hal's signatiure is that tiny blue smudge just below the NY. Have you ever seen a stingier, meaner autograph?

Home Run by Judge.

That concludes the entertainment portion of our program.

BTR999 said...

His HR followed by 3 pathetic AB’s by DJL, Cabrera, and the execrable Stanton.

Sad to say, Cabrera looks overmatched at this level, but Stanton almost ran all the way to First on his weak GO. Almost.

This ends the scoring for today. Tune in tomorrow for another episode of "One Run Wonders."

La Choi makes strike out moves ..swing American.

Seriously - Michael Kay just said, and I quote:

"The seed is limm"

Then he corrected himself with a slight chuckle and said:

"The lead is slim.

What does it all mean?

JM said...

Demon seed. He's a satanist. Run for the hills!!!

Which, by the way, are alive. With the sound of music.

AboveAverage said...

And, between you and me JM - I hear that the hills also have EYES!!!

ranger_lp said...

We’re ready to blow a lead…

JM said...

AAAAHHH!!

JM said...

First and third, nobody out. And nobody bunts. Even Kay wanted one. But no.

Peraza can't hit big league pitching yet.

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

Lolz for Borntorun.

Holmes getting hit hard.

JM said...

Barf time.

Holmes sucking, but Boone stays with him. Every batter has tagged him hard.

Yankees Win!!!

AboveAverage said...

The Yankees win?

Nooooo - - - - REALLY?

BernBabyBern said...

Halle-fuckin-lujah

And lucky as hell. That last pitch was NOT a strike.

Publius said...

Suzyn's star should be Ricky Ricardo. He willed that win. Great listen. John as long as he wants to, but Ricky must succeed.

BernBabyBern said...

I will now list all the runs scored in the month of September by Yankees other than Aaron Judge ...

... aaaaand we're done.

BernBabyBern said...

Aaron Judge showing incredible poise, composure and leadership in this interview by not screaming "CAN'T ANYBODY ELSE ON THIS TEAM HIT A FUCKING BASEBALL?!?!" into the camera.

BTR999 said...

Jeezus, talk about squeaking out a win.

Don’t know if anybody else noticed it, but on that single that dunked in in the 9th, Hicks was playing waaaay too deep.

Cabrera and Peraza, man…can’t jump on two raw rookies, but they really shouldn’t be out there if we’re still trying to win (are we?)
I know, there’s nobody else…next man up (down) would be Gonzalez…brrr.

Stanton Hicks, Donaldson..I’m running out of words to critique with.

Next up one of our long time punching bags, the Twins. We’ll see…

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

LOLZ@BERN! Like seriously, out loud.

Appropriate irony of the day--when the Yankees finally win a game, it's on a blown strike call in their favor by the home-plate umpire. That game was slipping away until the ump came to their rescue.

Bruh... Benintendi injury is the same one that ended Texieras days of being a productive hitter

Celerino Sanchez said...

Frankie Valli pitches 5 innings and now he’s Iron Joe McGinnity

This is your roving reporter coming to you where it’s 105 in the shade at Dodger stadium. Joey Gallo, hitting into the shift, flies out to right field when he could have laid down a hit down the vacated third base position.

Same old wine in a brand new uniform.

AboveAverage said...

Mr DickA-

I think Joey‘s Bottle is corked.

Best to return it as soon as possible to the retailer you purchased it from and request another.

My recommendation - get a double IPA instead.

That way you’re assured to get no bad hops and no sour grapes.

Cheers!

Bye bye Benintendi maybe they can give Bader some roller skates to get around in the outfield. Cashole's master plan continues to slowly unravel. If Judge goes down with an injury it will be a quick freefall

Watching the replay. First inning, error on a routine grounder by Falafel, wild pitch by Montas. This team never comes ready to play—which, again, is partly on Boone.

AboveAverage said...

And partly on all of us.

(Did I just say that? Never mind- too much coffee today with my family returning from Ithaca).

I love my Yankees.

I just wonder where they are…..

Are injury-prone behemoths like Judge a good bet for a long-term contract, especially at age 30?

Define "good bet."

Define what the alternative is to re-signing "injury-prone behemoths."

Define what the long-term strategy of this franchise is. (I would really like to know.)

Is re-signing a general manager who, in 25 seasons at the helm, has yet to field a championship team he really built himself, a good bet?

I love my Yankees and wonder where the are too. Came home from the laundromat with someone else sock once... You can’t root for laundry you don’t recognize.
