Stanton and Donaldson getting some truly deserving rest.

Mildred Lopez said...

Who is this Peraza?

Publius said...

JD actually in there. No rest for the wicked.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Where is Zoilo?

JM said...

Paraza is another whiz kid from Scranton, Mildred. Doesn't play nearly as much as Cabrera, but very good.

JM said...

Peraza. Sorry.

BTR999 said...

Peraza is our #3 prospect, widely touted as our SS of the future - it is supposed that Volpe will move to third, Cabrera either 2B or super utility. In reality, all will die a slow death in Scranton, living at the local Motel 8. One will look up and see the words “Miggy was here” carved above the door jamb.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

At least hicks didn't swing at ball 4

TheWinWarblist said...

Pitch around Him now you fucks.

TheWinWarblist said...

Why did Hicks move up? So they can walk Judge?

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Hicks is a fucking moron. Doesn't run when he should. DOES run when he shouldn't.

He's developed a Barry Bonds balloon head. But it must have been golf steroids he took, 'cause it ain't helping his baseballing.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

PS.

Forget DFA -- just release him mid-game.

Mildred Lopez said...

I like Peraza. They buried him so deep since bringing him up because that IKF is one of the best shortstops in MLB. Or something

JM said...

Love the tortured explanations for Cole being Not An Ace and giving up so many home runs. Kay actually said that it's a testament to today's hitters, their hitting Cole's 98 and 100mph pitches. And he strikes out a lot of guys, so his pitches are in the zone more often. Total horseshit. Then they showed where all of his gopher balls have been located, and it just sucked.

Yeah, you know, that Nolan Ryan was a strikeout pitcher and that's why he got tagged so much.

Cole is a strikeout pitcher who's usually not a dominating pitcher. Ryan was a strikeout pitcher who was dominant.

BTR999 said...

All kidding aside, Peraza should be a regular for us by sometime next year, unless Cashman decides to trade him for another overrated starter who has 2 years of all important team control left.

Cole HR time…

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

John responds to those who accuse him of jinxing Cole’s no hitter…

“If I could jinx a team I’d rent my self out and go from team to team. I might as well be Tex and Jinx”.

And immediately, jinxed.

ranger_lp said...

Cole’s a five inning pitcher…

JM said...

Colace.

Just the best name.

Seb said...

A fine job by our ace once again

TheWinWarblist said...

Cole is an imbecile. No smarts. No guts. No toughness. Cone would have won 330 games if he had had Cole's stuff.

JM said...

5-inning Energy.

TheWinWarblist said...

I would have won 220.

JM said...

Good news is that the Bronx Zoo show is on Animal Planet.

TheWinWarblist said...

Minimum 220.

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

JM - Instant classic.

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

Go ahead and google “5 inning energy” or “5-inning energy”. No results. JM, you’ve produced the rarest of things… an original thought on the internet. Bravo. Love it.

BTR999 said...

It’s the same shit with Cole, over and over and over

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Call the trademark office. Quickly.

JM said...

Judge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TheWinWarblist said...

HE DID IT!!! HE DID IT!! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

BTR999 said...

THE MAN!!!

JM said...

Nobody has used that before? Jeepers.

TheWinWarblist said...

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside said...

A curtain call for Judge… And for you too JM, just be bashful about it like Judge.

JM said...

Shucks, Beau.

ranger_lp said...

Landed in the bullpen…he’ll get that ball gratis..

TheWinWarblist said...

We just renovated the great room and kitchen. This included an 86 inch 8k TV. Which I'm never home to watch. But I'm home tonight. Clearly a homerun off the bat. And he's dirty from the first inning slide like a real ballplayer!!

Rufus T. Firefly said...

It credit today's manager. That guy called "not boone"

Publius said...

Scranton-Wilkes Barre RailRiders great makes history.

TheWinWarblist said...

Cone just pointed out that Mickey protected Maris in '61. No one is protecting Judge.

TheWinWarblist said...

Pitcher trying to murder Master Bader.

TheWinWarblist said...

And Master Bader makes him pay, the stupid fuckface!!!!

Publius said...

Give him day off tomorrow. Set new record at Stadium over weekend.

JM said...

This is very gratifying.

JM said...

Win, that's why Judge is MVP hands down. No contest.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Everyone is resting tomorrow

ranger_lp said...

Cole has another 3 runs to blow another lead…

TheWinWarblist said...

Why is fuckface still shitting all over my mound?

TheWinWarblist said...

3.8 seconds for that ball to get out. Frozen rope.

ranger_lp said...

Cole left it for Britton to lose the lead…

JM said...

I want to hear Sterling's call for the homer.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

I had yes audio on. What was the master's call?

Best of all, when people talk about that game when a Yankee record was tied, they will NEVER be thinking about Cole matching Guidry’s strikeout mark.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Thanks Ranger!

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Excellent point Hinckey

JM said...

Great point. Cole is no Guidry.

JM said...

Not a great call, tbh.

Kevin said...

...and they said he was too big to play the game. Some Howard C. schmaltz for the occasion.

JM said...

BJs pull a Red Sox!

TheWinWarblist said...

Great play by the pitcher and then he makes it worse by not covering home!!

Seb said...

Da blow jays

ranger_lp said...

As Cosell would say "It's all falling apart for the Blue Jays..."

TheWinWarblist said...

I've never understood the "he's too big" bullshit. Have they never heard of Cecil Fielder? Heavy C was the biggest human I ever saw in real life.

JM said...

Never made sense to me, either. What about all the NBA players?

TheWinWarblist said...

Randy Johnson was huge. Dave Winfield was enormous. Darryl Strawberry was very large. Tettleton was no lightweight.

TheWinWarblist said...

Baseball writes are hateful inbred mutant fuckin' fuckface fuckers.

TheWinWarblist said...

Boone would fit right in.

TheWinWarblist said...

Nooooo! Not FlopSweat!!!

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Fire hose is in. Guess they want to lose.

JM said...

Only five runs ahead. Dicey.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

Chapman strikes out Chapman (no relation).

JM said...

Your postseason closer, ladies and gentlemen.

TheWinWarblist said...

I'm getting ready even if it is FlopSweat.

JM said...

Throwing 100+, strikes, whiffing guys. Just watch.

ranger_lp said...

Yankees Win!!!

JM said...

Easy peasy.

TheWinWarblist said...

Thu-uhuh-UHUHUHUHUHYANKEESWIIINNNNN!!!! History is MADE!!! 61!!! 61!!!! 61!!! ALL RISE!!!!

BTR999 said...

Hate to believe I’m writing this, but that was a sharp Ninth by Chapman.

JM said...

Chappie is back. Maybe.

JM said...

Win!!!!

TheWinWarblist said...

JM? Lemon 🍋 squeezey.

BTR999 said...

But 61 was fun!
62 will be too!
Congrats Aaron, and thank you!

HoraceClarke66 said...

GREAT to see. Not only the home run, but Judge's reactions.

I have to admit, I wondered if he was too big to last in the majors. He seemed to hurt himself just diving or jumping—you know, the way that some NFL players are so huge they damage themselves just by falling.

BUT...he seems to have solved his injury problems. Why is that? Yoga? Adjustments? Different workouts?

And why can't Stanton do something like that?

HoraceClarke66 said...

On Cole: apparently Guidry's strikeout rate was 98 percent above that of the average rate in baseball at the time.

Cole's? 47 percent above. Which is terrific. But...not Guidry.
