I would not have thought that the New York State Legislature could sink any lower. Turns out I was wrong.

David Ortiz certainly deserves the highest honors that our revered state legislature can bestow. He has, after all, cheated his way into the upstate Hall of Fame, where baseball was NOT invented.

He has, so far as we know, only been shot once, by a mysterious assailant, for reasons still unknown.

He maintains a jolly disposition, and therefore deserves all the kudos heaped upon him, as opposed to the fates of more surly and unpleasant cheaters.

If we're going to have an infielder who only hits one home run, how about a guy who hits, period?

Infielder Caleb Durbin is riding a 17-game on-base streak (since April 24 at Durham), during which he is batting .328/.442/.453 (21-for-64) with five doubles, one homer, 12 RBIs and seven steals. Durbin leads the RailRiders in runs (28), hits (42), doubles (13), RBIs (28), walks (27) and steals (17).

And who do we bump for Beeter? He deserves a chance after they finish "stretching him out" to be a starter...with no place to put another starter.

Maybe start him in the pen and jettison Santana and Ferguson?

That had to be from The Onion or similar right? There is no way that the NYS legislature did that.

As Hoss' pointed out Rusking Pimentel? What kind of name is that? What was he Named after Dean Rusk? Was Dirksen Avocado not working that day?

I call bullshit! Or (sad face).
