Catching up with Dietrich Enns

One of the guys the Yankees traded for Jaime Garcia started for the Twins last night. Dietrich Enns went 2.1 innings - apparently, he was viewed as a bullpen lug nut in a spot start - and gave up 5 hits and one run.

Garcia pitches tonight against Boston.

I'M GOING MONDAY AGAINST THE METS, 13.

WE BETTER SLAUGHTER THEM.

THIS WEEK BETTER NOT ENTAIL A PINEAPPLE ENEMA.

Austria's Only Baseball Fan must be disappointed that the Yankees jettisoned Dietrich? Hate to see a homeboy get the Von Trapp family treatment.

Going into Fenway this weekend, leading with Jaime Garcia, I feel like we're on the boat at the end of "Apocalypse Now."

There are skulls and tortured bodies everywhere. The locals running around with spears and painted faces, smearing themselves with blood. Dennis Hopper jumping around with his camera, talking gibberish.

We have finally reached the heart of darkness.

"The horror...the horror!"

This comparison might be a great item for the sidebar.

But my bad—we're at home this weekend, right?

It's just gonna SEEM like Fenway with all their fans out—all those drunken college boys and yuppie stock traders dancing around under the el.

Ugh.

Whoa, a T.S. Eliot reference? The Yanks are a wasteland right now, but none of us are teenagers.

You're on a roll, H.C.

Thanks. The anticipation of true horror brings it out in me.
