RIP Hank Steinbrenner

Yes, I keep a coffee mug with a quote from Hank Steinbrenner on my desk.

Doesn't everyone?

RIP Hank.

At least you understood that the Yankees were more than just a business and you cared.

That's a great quote. I don't think Hal has ever uttered a quotable phrase.

RIP

Hal would never have said such a thing. I'm afraid he just doesn't have it in him.

A Hal mug would have a quote something along the lines of, "Look, we just can't afford to pay our peanut vendors now, as much as we would like to. I mean, the team's value is only $5 billion."

Met him once, in passing. He seemed like an arrogant, nasty fuck. But hey, still better than his old man!

Horace...I always thought he was fiery rather than arrogant. Sometimes they get mixed up. I know from personal experience.LOL

I used to think God had perfect aim. I now have to reconsider this. He was supposed to get Trump but hit Boris instead. He was supposed to take Hal but got Hank by mistake.

CONSIDERING HOW HAL HAS BENT OVER FOR COOP ALL THESE YEARS, I HAVE WONDERED HOW THINGS MIGHT HAVE BEEN SOLELY UNDER HANK.

COULDN'T BE ANY WORSE SINCE 2010.

RIP HANK.

ANY ONE KNOW, WHAT WAS THE CAUSE?

They just said a long illness, ALL-CAPS.

And hey, I'm sure that Coops would've found a way to make himself indispensable to Hank, too. The man is the perfect office politician. Given good health, he'll still be running the Yankees long after the rest of us are dead and gone.

Out of respect for Hank, I send my condolences to the Steinbrenner clan.

His sister shoulda run the team instead of the cheap milquetoast we have. But Hank would've been good, too.

His sister married 2 stiffs including a Yankee Stadium groundskeeper and both were elevated to VPs in different departments until her divorce when they were quickly deleted from the organization. The groundskeeper was involved in some scandal involving the international scouting department. That sister shouldn't be allowed to handle anything.

A lifetime of Marlboro Reds, Heineken Keg Cans and spending the first 53 years of his life reporting to George

Juan the Gardner, as he was know in certain front office Yankees circles, is the reason the Yankees didn’t get Yoan Moncada. Apparently he pissed him off early in negotiations

I had no idea Hank was ill. Long illness? That is a very private family.

Carl Weitz, the sister once also ordered Reggie Jackson off a spring training field when he was an instructor, because she felt he wasn't close-shaven enough.

The pretensions of the Steinbrenners are unending.
